Sustainable Materials

Our cardboard furniture is predominantly made from recycled cardboard (diverted from landfill) as well as original paper fibres from sustainable forestry. This balance of recycled and new cardboard allows us to make strong, robust products that are designed to be used for many years and then recycled again.

We also do our very best to minimise our use of plastic or other non-environmentally friendly materials in our packaging.

Carbon Neutrality

At Yona we're all about trying to minimise our impact on the environment. That's why ever since we started, we've been 100% carbon neutral. This means that all the energy used to make our products, ship our products and even to power our computers at Yona HQ are either using renewable energy sources or have been offset.

Ethical Supply Chain

We've paid very close attention to the way our products are made. From the sourcing of our cardboard to the person delivering your products, we've made sure that all the people involved are treated, well, like people!

That's why we ensure that all of our suppliers and manufacturers meet a rigorous set of compliance requirements which includes standards related to hiring practices, wages, freedom of association and health & safety.

Fun Fact: Unlike many other brands that rely on offshore services, our whole supply chain is here in Australia. This makes it very easy to ensure that our partners comply with our high ethical standards.
