How to set up your Queen Yona bed [V1]
Our Queen bed is our most popular size! Don't worry, there are no tools required for this set up - just your hands and some cardboard.
Step 1
Take both halves of your bed out of the box.
Before stretching them out, one half should sit from the head of the mattress, and go down halfway.
The other half should begin at the middle of the mattress (below the first half), and go down to the foot of the bed.
Step 2
Grab the end of the cardboard, and stretch it out!
To give some context, you are stretching out the width of your Queen bed, so when the top half is stretched out, that half will be the entire head of the bed.
Common mistake: If you have stretched out the cardboard from top to bottom, rather than from right to left or from left to right, then STOP! Make sure you stretch the bed across the width of the bed, or your mattress won’t properly fit.
You should stretch it until it’s as wide as your Queen mattress (that’s 153cm).
You need to really stretch it out to its maximum in order to get the right fit, so don’t be afraid to pull!
Do this for both halves.
If you have a partner with you, they can hold the left/right side of the bed as you pull it out, so you can stretch it out more without moving the bed too much.
Step 3
Stand between the two halves, and connect the flaps using the hooks. They should just slot in!
Just remember to be gentle, as you don’t want the flaps to fray in case you want to fold up & move the bed later on.
Step 4
Now you need to push the halves together, so they’re just about touching one another (but not overlapping).
You may need to adjust things a little bit after pushing them together. If a few of the flaps between the two halves become unhooked in the process of putting them together, it doesn’t really matter. You will never be able to see this, and it doesn’t affect the strength or durability of the bed!
Step 5
You will now be connecting the flaps at the head and foot of the mattress.
These flaps connect a little differently than the flaps that were in between the two halves, so please watch the above video carefully!
You will need to first push the flaps inwards, towards the bed, and then hook them together. You can see this process in the video above. Remember to be gentle!
Step 6
(Gently) place your mattress on top of the bed! This step is usually easier with a partner, depending on how heavy your mattress is.
Step 7
Do some final adjusting, tuck in the bed if it’s sticking out, and re-hook any flaps that have come undone.
