How to set up your Queen Yona bed

Our Queen bed is our most popular size! Don't worry, there are no tools required for this set up - just your hands and some cardboard.

Step 1

Take both halves of your bed out of the box, and put them next to each other.

If you can't fit both halves next to each other, take a look at our special instructions for setting up in a small room (most people don't need this).

Step 2

Grab the right cardboard piece and stretch it out as much as you can.

If you have a partner with you, they can hold the end of the bed that's on the wall as you pull it out, so you can stretch it out without moving the bed off the wall.

Don't worry if it slides around a little (like in our video above) - we'll fix that later!

    Step 3

Placed in each half of your bed are four locks. These will lock your bed into place, so it doesn't slide around!

Crouch on one end of the bed, and locate the 2nd lock from the end (rather than the one nearest to you).

Stretch the bed out while pushing the lock down with your thumbs or fingers. This can be done incrementally, until the lock has slid all the way in.

Repeat this process with the lock that is now closest to you.

You need to pull the bed with a bit of force in order for the lock to slide down into place. You won't break it, and if you're worried just do it inch-by-inch!

The first one you do requires the most strength, and it gets easier from there.

    Step 4

Jump across to the other side of your bed, and repeat the same process. All 4 locks should now be pushed down, and your bed should be the perfect length!

    Step 5

Now connect the flaps on both sides of the right piece

You will need to first push the flaps inwards, towards the bed, and then hook them together. You can see this process in the video above.

Just remember to be gentle, as you don’t want the flaps to fray in case you want to pack up & move the bed later on.

Instead of just forcing the hooks together and fraying them in the process, you should be slightly lifting the upper hook and gently placing it above the lower hook. This will keep the hook secure, and prevent fraying.

Once completed, the interconnected flaps should look like this:

    Step 6

Grab the left cardboard piece and stretch it out

    Step 7

Push the first lock down with your thumbs until it clicks into place.

Repeat this process until you've stretched the bed all the way out and pushed all 4 locks in.

    Step 8

Now connect the flaps on both sides of the left piece

You will need to first push the flaps inwards, towards the bed, and then hook them together. You can see this process in the video above.

Just remember to be gentle, as you don’t want the flaps to fray in case you want to fold up & move the bed later on.

Instead of just forcing the hooks together and fraying them in the process, you should be slightly lifting the upper hook and gently placing it above the lower hook. This will keep the hook secure, and prevent fraying.

Once completed, the interconnected flaps should look like this:

    Step 9

Now you need to push the halves together, so they’re just about touching one another (but not overlapping).

If a few of the flaps between the two halves become unhooked in the process of putting them together, it doesn’t really matter. You will never be able to see this, and it doesn’t affect the strength or durability of the bed!

    Step 10

Grab one of the two connectors that came with your bed (it looks like a small arch).

Insert it into the gap just behind the first pair of panels and in between the two halves of your bed.

Push it down until it locks into place - this can sometimes take a little bit of wiggling, we keep it tight so that the bed doesn't come apart at all. Don't be afraid to squeeze it in there and wriggle it down!

Get the other connector and do the same process on the opposite end of the bed.

    Step 11

(Gently) place your mattress on top of the bed! This step is usually easier with a partner, depending on how heavy your mattress is.

    Step 12

Do some final adjusting if needed, tucking in the bed if it’s sticking out.

    • Bravo on getting through those instructions! If that felt more like a walk in the park, then let's spice things up a tad - here's a riddle that'll give you a light mental jog.

I walk one mile North, one mile East and one mile South. I am now where I started.
      Easy question: Where am I?
Harder question: Where else could I be?
